Navy Cmdr. Michael Harber from Memphis Tenn., the Regimental Electronic Warfare Officer, places a gold spur on Garcia with the assistance of squadron commander and Oxford, N.C. native Lt. Col. Bryan Denny, during the spur ceremony. Gold spurs are a part of Calvary tradition; awarded to Soldiers that have served in combat with a Calvary unit.
