Sgt. David “Scott” Robinson’s life dream was to be in the Army.

His grandfather served as a sharpshooter in World War I, so Robinson naturally went into the artillery field when he joined the Army in 2004, said his sister, Amber Griffin, 24, of Fort Smith.

Robinson, 25, formerly of Fort Smith, died in a “Stryker rollover” during a noncombat accident Nov. 20 in Qalat, Afghanistan, while serving his third tour overseas, Griffin said.

He was serving with the A Troop, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, V Corps in Zabul Province, Afghanistan.
