Registration and Reception at the Eisenhower Thursday Evening from 1700-2100 hours.
Friday: Breakfast at the Hotel. We have arranged an all-day bus tour of the ANTIETAM NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD with lunch at the beautiful Bavarian Inn.
Saturday: Breakfast at the Hotel. We have arranged an all-day bus tour of the GETTYSBURG NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD with lunch at the historic Dobbin House. Saturday night is the Association’s banquet.

Just as a reminder, September 2012 was the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Antietam. The one day battle was the bloodiest day in our Civil War. Gettysburg next year will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the July 1-3, 1863 battle.

where can I order 2d Cav. crest and sholder patches? thank you.
Best place would be the 2d Cavalry Association’s “Spur of the Moment” store. All proceeds go to help the Soldiers of the active Regiment and veterans of the Association, along with their families.

2/2 ACR- Bamgerg 1982-1984 I met up with a GSR operator, Sgt.Sayad. Would like to make the 2013 Reunion!
I was a member of G Troop 2/2ACR from Nov. 1964 to June
1967.If,there is anyone out there that was in Bamberg
at that time, it would be the greatest of pleasures to hear from you. I was a tanker in the 3rd platoon.
Something that’s been with me all these years. I remember when the WAR started my call sign was head hunter 4 in the Squadron. I forgot my Regememtal call sign. During the war I was in charge of the Supply SGT’s in the FLD Trains. I worked out of a built up 2 1/2 Ton Truck along with S-1. Today something made me get on the computer and read about the role we the 2/2 ACR played in the WAR. I remember the sky was lit up like the 4th of July with all the fighting that was going on. I asked God not to let any of the rounds above fall down from the sky and kill me. Please let me fight hans to hand combat and I might let the enmemy live. My life changed when a body bag was delivered to the field trains.
I know we lost one NCO SGT Moller. I will never forget him because when he was killed they brought the body to me in the Fld Trains where I was with him until a logpac from the (RSS)Regemental Support Squadron came to resupply the Squadron and to pick up SGT Moller. I stayed with him until the hand over was made. When we started sorting mail again the first few peices of mail that I got out of the mail bag was SGT Mollers. It really touched me.
He’s been with me throughout my life. Today was the first time I really read the Battle of the 73 Easting. It really touched me to read about the Battle. I did see the M3 Bradley before it was loaded and went back to the (RSS) on a logpac. I also read about MG McMasters the G Troop commander and how he was passed over for BG and MG until the Chief of Staff got involved.
Some officers just didn’t like the 2/2 ACR’s accomplishments…..
2/2 CAV was the best. We trained hard, worked hard, played hard…………..
Just wanted to share a few things with you all….
God bless you all and rest in peace SGT Moller………….I will never forget you
I just thought it was time to share this with you….
