PFC Kalin C. Johnson of Lexington, SC died March 8, 2011 near Rangrizan, Afghanistan from a non-combat related incident.
PFC Johnson was with Company G, 2d Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany. A memorial ceremony has been scheduled for 17 March 2011 at 1000 hours in the Rose Barracks Cavalry Chapel.

Fallen Dragoon Memorial Rededication Fund

A fund has been set up by the 2d Cavalry Association for donations toward rededicating the memorial honoring the fallen 2d Dragoons of OIF-OEF at Rose Barracks, Vilseck, on July 22, 2011.
Funds will be used to update the memorial with the names of the Fallen Dragoons from the current Afghanistan deployment.
